Discussion 2 Business Process Management
150 word count
Business Process Management (BPM) is defined as a discipline involving any combination of modeling, automation, execution, control, measurement and optimization of business activity flows, in support of enterprise goals, spanning systems, employees, customers and partners within and beyond the enterprise boundaries.
The key to BPM is that it is not one thing you do but a combination of things to achieve it. You can use technology and research to improve work flows. You do not accomplish BPM overnight, instead it is part of a cultural change in the organization that results in a commitment to BPM. It takes time and there are challenges, but the end result is increased efficiencies, work flow processes and yes even moral.
