Please identify an organization or person that is changing (or changed) a region / country / the world to reduce the Perils of Indifference. Be specific about the actions that were undertaken and how that was an effective change. Include in your essay a description of the issue that drove the organization or person to act, what would have happened in the absence of this organization or person, and the responsibility that citizens and others around the world have to prevent and/or respond to such crises.

Alternate assignment as discussed in class: five minutes / six slide presentation in class (or here on campus) to be submitted by midnight on Wednesday March 21, 2018. If submitting the alternate assignment, the topics are exactly the same.
